Specifications
Categories: Mathematical, Technology Dimensions: 22"x15"x1/4" Tools: Acrylic Paint, Scrap wood, Pastel nubs Base/Canvas: The Primary Board is a piece of scrap wood, primed with gesso and black acrylic paint. Media: Mixed media, recovered/rediscovered/reuse project made primarily out of scraped or otherwise destined-for-the-bin materials. The five defined points are smaller blocks of scrap wood, approx. 1" thick, with scrap pastel paper mounted on it. The robot shape is made with recovered and thickened heavy modeling paste for acrylics, then covered with acrylic paint and oil pastels for texture. Math/Science References: The balance curcuit, primary definition of ocular column dominance, the principle foundation of echolocation, and the flexibility of the hand are based on biological mechanics. Mythological/Iconic References: The porportions labeled on the robot are based on human biology; all of the processes highlighted are biological in nature, found in various animals (such as echolocation in bats) in the world. Special Limitations or Prohibitions: Only recovered/rediscovered/reused materials
