CONTROL is a one-act play about a teenager named Beth. When her boyfriend Dave discovers her love for her best friend, Abby, he sexually assaults her. Events spin out of control as Dave becomes more paranoid, and Beth is forced into a course of action by her inner Voice, a part of herself she has hidden for a long time.
CONTROL went up in Rooke Theatre Black Box in Fall 2006. Peg Duffy wrote and directed CONTROL in the Fall of 2006, and McCormick Assistant Directed. The production was sponsored by PROJECT:Theatre with collaboration with Mount Holyoke College's Department of Theatre Arts. This was PROJECT:Theatre's first production.
